The Kam Valley Fiddlers begin rehearsals Monday, September 13th in Westgate High School music room. New string musicians welcome. Tune-up at 7:00pm.
There will be registration for the Thunder Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra season 2010-11 on Tuesday, September 14 from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Hammarskjold High School Music Room. They are seeking advanced musicians (13 yrs of age and over) in strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion positions. Regular rehearsals will commence on Tuesday, September 21st at Hammarskjold from 4:30 to 5:45pm. The Lakehead Choral Group is a mixed voice (SATB) community choir and especially invites TENORS and BASSES and women (over 18 years of age) to join them in making music. They sing a wide variety of choral music from classical selections, show tunes and contemporary songs to rock and doo-wop. Practices will be Wednesdays from 7:15pm to 10pm at St. Patrick High School and will begin on September 9th. They present 2 concerts annually, a Christmas concert on Wednesday, December 1st and a Spring concert on Wednesday, April 27th, 2011. Applause Productions will be hosting Musical Theatre Classes for ages 12 and up on Sundays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm from September 19th to December 5th. They have a performance date on December 12th. Cost is $145 and registration is August 27th from 4pm to 5pm and August 28th from 2pm to 3pm at the Applause Productions Studio on the 2nd floor of Colosimo’s Music Store.
Applause Productions will be hosting an Adult Vocal Ensemble Classes on Thursdays from 8pm to 10pm, beginning September 17th to December 2nd. This will be a fun evening of singing and performing. Register via email to dkrawczu@shaw.ca. The cost is $125.
