2 new movies open at theatres this weekend.
ICE AGE COLLISION COURSE - this is the 5th film in the franchise (the first four have grossed a combined $2.6 billion at theatres).
…The other film  - is the highly anticipated "START TREK BEYOND".  The Enterprise is ambushed and destroyed, which leaves most of the crew stranded on an alien planet in uncharted space.  This movie's dedicated to both Anton Yelchin and Leonard Nimoy.  Yelchin died in a freak car accident last month and Nimoy died last year before filming started.

More movie news - Pokémon is getting a live-action film treatment. Legendary Entertainment and The Pokémon Company are teaming up for the project, which centers on ‘Detective Pikachu’. Additional details are being kept under wraps at the moment. While this will be the first live-action film, the franchise has previously lit up the bigscreen in animated form, beginning with “Pokémon: The First Movie” in 1999. (the film earned $160 million at theatres).   The new live-action film is being fast-tracked for production to start in 2017.

Another former member of ONE DIRECTION is heading out in his OWN direction.  LIAM PAYNE just scored a solo deal with Capitol Records.  Of course, Zayn Malik was the first to leave, followed by Harry Styles.

AND FINALLY, Billboard.com released an article talking about "bizarre health trends" that celebrities are buying into.  One of them is called "Moon Dust" - These plant-based formulas are added to smoothies and coffee, and supposedly they increase sexual energy and brain power.  PINK and ALANIS MORISSETTE use this.  The other is "Bite Massages".  A massage therapist is paid to BITE PEOPLES' BACKS, and charges $150 to $250 an hour to do it.  A lot of celebrities have done this, including KATY PERRY, SIMON COWELL and KANYE WEST
