Corrections Cares 2024

Thunder Bay Correctional Officers will be at Thunder Bay Pet Valu locations from 12-4 on February 24th 2024 to host their annual Corrections Cares event. This event helps fundraise for 3 local rescues and raise awareness to these rescues. At the Arthur Street Pet Valu location Paws for Love will be there with some of the animals that they have for adoption at this time. At the Golf Links Road location Thunder Bird Raptor Rescue will be there with an Owl and a Macow. At the Dawson Road Location Murillo Mutts Respite Refuge will be there with some of their animals they have for adoption or are boarders of the rescue. There will also be Pupcakes made by the local business Sugar Mama, Cupcakes and this year we have barkuterie made by a local business called Barkuterie.co all proceeds from items sold at each location will go to the rescue at that location.
