Rotary Radio Day

For the 56th year, 91-5 CKPR presents the Port Arthur Rotary Club's Rotary Radio Day!

Listen on Monday, the 21st - Family Day - as we dedicate the entire radio station to raise funds for this great cause!

All Family Day long, every one of the advertisements you'll hear has been purchased by local businesses who want to support the great community charity work that Rotary does. For over half a century, this fundraiser has collected over a million dollars to help support non-profit organizations in Thunder Bay.

Some of Rotary's ongoing community service initiatives include the Dew Drop Inn, Rotary Shelter House, St. James Public School, Roots to Harvest, Our Kids Count, the Community Clothing Assistance, the Fort Severn First Nation, the Wilderness Discovery Centre Accessible Campground, the Salvation Army’s Community Response Unit Van, and the Field of Greens Garden Project.

Rotary International is at the forefront of the World Health Organization’s program to eradicate polio from the world.

Beyond support of these great community projects and organizations, Port Arthur Rotary, together with approximately ten Active Living organizations, have formed the Waterfront Trail Rotary Community Action Team (WTRCAT) to advocate for the extension of the City of Thunder Bay Waterfront Trail System.

So, be sure to listen to the ads of hundreds of businesses who support Rotary Radio Day.
