MAY 2nd 2026 IS FREE COMIC BOOK DAY AT COMIX PLUS / MUSIC EXCHANGE
Comix Plus / Music Exchange in Thunder Bay is one of the thousands of comic book shops around the world celebrating the largest event in the comic book industry on Saturday, May 2nd Free Comic Book Day (FCBD). Free Comic Book Day is a great event for the whole community. Bringing everyone together, finding books for everyone to enjoy, and seeing people of all ages—children, teens, and adults—sharing our passion for comics is incredible. Also comics are a great way to encourage LITERACY among children and younger teens.
This is the 24th year Comix Plus / Music Exchange celebrates FCBD, offering the community a fun, family-oriented event where everyone can find a comic they’ll enjoy. We always encourage cosplayers to show up with their great costumes and partake in the FUN! (The Mandalorian is making an appearance that day!)
With awesome titles like Spider-man, Avatar, Conan, Sonic the Hedgehog, He-man and over 20+ additional titles, there’s a comic book for everyone. Comics are a fun and enduring form of entertainment for readers of all ages to dive into as imagination comes to life. Everyone can receive 2 FREE comic but people can also obtain more comics by generously giving a small donation to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Thunder Bay.
Free Comic Book Day kicks off at 10:00am and runs until 5:30pm (or until supply lasts) at Comix Plus / Music Exchange at 186 South ALGOMA STREET
